Occupational Therapist - Perinatal Specialist,

Sarah is a registered Occupational Therapist with over 40 years of experience across clinical and managerial practice and academia. She has worked predominantly in adult mental health and, for the past 15 years, has specialised in perinatal and parental mental health, providing both group and individual interventions to support families during the transition to parenthood.
Alongside her clinical work, Sarah provides professional supervision and delivers a range of continuing professional development opportunities. She has contributed to the development of NHS England perinatal e-learning modules, supports the Royal College of Occupational Therapists' Perinatal Clinical Forum, and has contributed to occupational therapy publications focused on maternity and perinatal care. Sarah has presented her work at national conferences and recently became a Trustee of the Elizabeth Casson Trust.
Her areas of expertise include the transition to parenthood, matrescence, therapeutic use of self, group work, Think Family approaches, psychodynamic counselling and therapy, and understanding the impact of early childhood experiences on health and wellbeing.
