Richard Haxby has over 18 years’ experience in the medical industry. He has spent the past decade developing innovative polyurethane-coated fabrics with the right stretch properties to effectively redistribute pressure and moisture vapour management properties to optimise patient microclimate. Richard is Convenor of the ISO TC173 WG11 Mattress Standards committee. He is a member of the international Support Surface Standards Initiative (S3i) committee, and the European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (EPUAP). He attends the British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) section meetings. Richard previously worked for Smith & Nephew developing polyurethane films for wound care.
