Nicky Cooper
Optimal Handed Care Programme Lead,
Somerset Council
Nicky qualified as an Occupational Therapist at the London School of OT in 1990 and has since worked mainly across South London, Home Counties and South West England with various client groups including mental health, learning disabilities, forensic psychiatry, and both child and adult social care. Nicky has a special interest in moving and handling people, as well as experience of managing projects and programmes of implementing single handed care approaches in both England and Wales. She relocated back home to North Yorkshire in 2021 to support her parents and currently works remotely for Somerset Council. She also has a limited company offering consultancy, training and quality assurance.
