Nana Acheampong

Nana is an Occupational Therapist working in the NHS as part of a Community Therapy Team. Her role focuses on home-based rehabilitation for adults following hospital discharge, supporting hospital avoidance, and promoting independence by helping individuals regain function and manage their health safely at home. Nana has experience in mental health services, including forensic and community mental health. She has a particular interest in the role of spirituality and faith in recovery and is passionate about how these elements contribute to whole-person care and meaningful, person-centred rehabilitation.
Nana has written an undergraduate thesis entitled: ‘An Exploration of the Experiences of Spirituality and Religious Faith by Occupational Therapists and Their Awareness of Its Role with Service Users and Patients’ in 2022
