Mary has worked in Higher Education for the last 16 years. Her clinical background is varied across mental health, learning disabilities, physical, inpatient, community, acute, rehabilitation and social impact projects. Employed as an OT within the NHS, Ministry of Defence, Charity and as a Locum, sometimes full time and at other times part time alongside working in Higher Education. Mary is the Course Director for the AHP Return to Practice course at Coventry University. Mary’s postgraduate education has focused on social connectedness through online platforms and the use of simulation within healthcare delivery. Both of these areas have been reflected throughout the course design and delivery.
