
Lt Col Guy Benson

Guy Benson is a retired army officer (Royal Signals). As a soldier and an officer, his military career spans 40 years. He has extensively travelled the world and spend almost a third of his career on operations in Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan. He transitioned from the regular army in 2011 to a full time army reserve role and was employed as the army head of engagement in the North East, London and finally the South West during the Novichok attack. In 2018, he left military service and was employed by Wiltshire Council as the Military Civil Integration Director working directly with the leader and chief executive on all military-related matters. Notably, he assumed the role of chief of staff for the Armed Forces Day National Event in Salisbury. In 2020, Guy had the opportunity to join the NHS as the national team leader in the Veterans Covenant Healthcare Alliance.
He ended his army career as a lieutenant colonel in the Ministry of Defence, London.
