Kat has extensive clinical experience in a range of settings including mental health, acute hospital settings and social care community Occupational Therapy services. Kat has experience managing a complex caseload of clients with a variety of conditions including acquired brain injuries, spinal injuries, orthopaedics, mental health, alcohol and drug abuse, musculoskeletal and learning disability.
Kat provides assessments and interventions to clients using collaborative communication and a strengths-based approach. Kat excels in rehabilitation focused work whether that be small or large steps forward or ensuring the current status quo can remain for as long as possible, as safely as possible. Kat works with clients and their multidisciplinary teams to ensure a well-rounded and whole approach is considered. Kat has worked frequently in complex social situations and dynamics and is able to ensure that all identified needs are considered equally.
Kat specialises in and holds a passion for 24 hour postural management and moving and handling. Kat listens to the clients’ outcomes and goals using a risk positive approach as appropriate.
