Jackie Chappel is an experienced Occupational Therapist, Case Manager and Director of Positive OT & Case Management Ltd. She has worked in health and social care for more than 25 years and has specialised in case management since 2008, supporting children, young people and adults with complex needs following serious injury, illness or disability. Jackie is passionate about working collaboratively with children and their families to understand what truly matters to them and to develop practical, meaningful solutions that improve everyday life. Her experience includes supporting children with acquired brain injury, cerebral palsy, complex disabilities, neurodevelopmental conditions and associated behavioural, sensory and emotional needs. She works closely with families, schools, support teams and multidisciplinary professionals to coordinate rehabilitation, promote independence and ensure that each child’s voice is central to decision-making. Alongside her clinical work, Jackie is a leader, trainer and expert witness in care and occupational therapy. She is an Advanced Member of BABICM, a Registered Case Manager with the IRCM, a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and a Trustee of CMSUK. At The OT Show, Jackie will share her insights and experience of building trusting relationships with children and families while navigating complex care and rehabilitation pathways.
