Occupational Therapist: Highly Specialist Mental Health & Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board
Emma Francis is employed as an occupational therapist working as a specialist in mental health. She led the pilot and development of the service and works as a lone practitioner across both primary and secondary mental health services for Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. Emma proactively engages in quality improvement and service evaluation to guide and shape future specialist neurodevelopmental services for adults. Emma has an MSc in Professional Practice (mental health) and is currently clinical advisor to a PGR student and partner collaborator on a research application that aims to explore the experiences of 'virtual' service delivery among Occupational Therapist's working in Wales. In March 2019, Emma published an article featured in OT News. The ‘Need to Know’ communication tool was developed in partnership with the Bevan Commission as a Bevan Exemplar project 2019-2020.
