Emily Williams is a qualified occupational therapist with a specialist focus on the mental health of children and young people. Prior to completing her Occupational Therapy BSc (Hons) degree at the University of Brighton, Emily spent seven years working in residential care with looked-after children.
Since qualifying in 2015, she has gained extensive experience in child and adolescent mental health, including four years as an occupational therapist in a CAMHS inpatient service in Sussex. In 2019, she transitioned into her current role as a Mental Health and Wellbeing Adviser at a mainstream college in Winchester.
Emily is also an Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Ambassador at the college and volunteers as the Inclusion Manager for Southampton Pride. She has a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent students and promoting inclusive support in educational settings.
