Derek Sleater is an Occupational Therapist, Trainer, and Registered Manager with over 20 years’ experience across Health and Social Care. Registered as an OT both the UK and USA. Formerly leading complex OT and Reablement services across inner London boroughs, Derek played a key role in advancing Discharge to Assess, care recommissioning, and single-handed care initiatives. As the founder of Sunday Care Therapy, Derek champions an integrated, therapy-led model of care. A passionate advocate for recognising the vital role of carers, Derek’s motivation is deeply personal—he is also a dedicated carer for his 92-year-old aunt living with Alzheimer’s Dementia.
