Miss Alexandra Atkins-Murray is a substantive consultant plastic surgeon at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, and specialises in burns care, complex scar and wound reconstruction and Laser treatments. She is on the specialist register for plastic surgery with the GMC (since 2015). She leads the Regional Burns Service and is Co-director of Thames Valley Scar Clinic in Oxfordshire. She focuses on delivering holistic care, offering the full range of multidisciplinary treatments for scars, from simple low-risk interventions all the way through to complex surgical reconstruction. She is well respected in the burns and plastic surgery world, and continues to contribute actively to the published literature in her field. Alex has recently been elected onto council for the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, and sits on the professional standards committee. She is passionate about achieving excellent patient outcomes and ensuring that patient's individual needs are met.
