Alex Fisher
Specialist Occupational Therapist/Honorary Clinical Lecturer,
University of Birmingham (UOB) and Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust
Alex was awarded the 1st Clinical Excellence Award by the Huntington’s Disease (HD) Association in 2022 which she describes as “an honour beyond words”. She is a jobbing OT in the West Midlands Neuropsychiatry Service as well as a Clinical Lecturer & HD Module Lead on the UOB MSc Neuropsychiatry. As a PhD candidate at the UOB, she is passionate about all things ethnography and is using this method to include the ‘voices’ of people with HD in research.
