Abigail Cardwell is a highly experienced Occupational Therapist specialising in eating disorders, with over two decades of clinical and leadership experience across inpatient, day unit, and outpatient settings. She is currently Lead Occupational Therapist for Eating Disorders at South West London & St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust, where she oversees occupational therapy across the eating disorder service. Her role includes staff training, championing the needs of carers and service development. As a Freelance Senior Clinical Associate Trainer with BEAT, she has designed and delivered national training programs for carers, professionals, and peer support workers. She also contributes annually to Health Education England’s Whole Team Training for eating disorder services. Her national influence includes co-chairing the Royal College of Occupational Therapists’ National Eating Disorders Specialism and representing Occupational Therapy on advisory groups including the Quality Network for Eating Disorders
