Exhibitor-Led Theatres Driving Innovation and Best Practice at This Year’s Occupational Therapy Show

Exhibitor-Led Theatres Driving Innovation and Best Practice at This Year’s Occupational Therapy Show

As Event Director of The Occupational Therapy Show, I am proud to highlight one of the most dynamic features of this year’s programme: the exhibitor-led Innovation Theatre and Showcase Theatre. These two stages are designed to provide delegates with practical, forward-looking insights, while giving our exhibitors a platform to share the latest advancements in occupational therapy practice, products, and research.

Across the two days, we will host 42 individual sessions, each lasting 30 minute - short, sharp, and designed to deliver maximum value in a focused timeframe. The format ensures that delegates can easily build these sessions into their visit to the show, dipping into a wide variety of topics as well as having plenty of time to also make the most of everything else the show has to offer.

The content is as rich as it is varied. From real-world case studies to new research findings, from best practice sharing to the introduction of cutting-edge products and technologies, the Innovation and Showcase Theatres are where delegates can see occupational therapy in action. Our exhibitors have gone above and beyond to prepare sessions that are not only informative but also directly applicable to clinical practice, service delivery, and professional development.

These theatres are a unique space where knowledge meets innovation. The Innovation and Showcase Theatres will put the spotlight on the latest tools, devices, research, best practice and services shaping the future of occupational therapy. Here, practitioners will see firsthand how suppliers and manufacturers are responding to the evolving needs of patients and professionals. Whether it’s a breakthrough in assistive technology, a fresh approach to rehabilitation, or new digital solutions, the sessions are designed to spark ideas and inspire new ways of working.

One of the great strengths of these exhibitor-led sessions is the balance they strike between education and innovation. Every presentation is rooted in evidence, whether through published research, service evaluations, or practitioner-led case studies. Yet at the same time, they look forward - introducing ideas, tools, and practices that can help occupational therapists deliver even better outcomes for the people they support.

We know that our delegates value opportunities to hear directly from suppliers and innovators, and the Innovation and Showcase Theatres provide just that. They create a space for open dialogue, where occupational therapists can ask questions, share experiences, and gain insights into the latest developments.

With 42 sessions delivered across two days, these theatres are an unmissable part of the show. They reflect the very best of what The Occupational Therapy Show is about: bringing people together to share knowledge, explore innovation, and advance our profession.

I encourage all delegates to spend time in the Innovation and Showcase Theatres. Whether you are looking for practical solutions to everyday challenges, inspiration for service improvement, or simply want to stay up to date with the latest products and practice, these sessions have something for everyone.

This year’s programme is stronger than ever, and I can’t wait to see the conversations, collaborations, and new ideas that will be sparked in these vibrant spaces.
