Discover the future of case management at the Occupational Therapy Show 2026
The Occupational Therapy Show returns to the NEC Birmingham for its 14th edition on 25–26 November 2026, bringing together occupational therapists, case managers and professionals working across health, social care, education, housing and independent practice.
This year, the Occupational Therapy Show has partnered with the Case Management Society UK (CMSUK) to introduce a brand-new Feature Zone celebrating the Society’s 25th anniversary and exploring the past, present and future of case management.
Designed as a journey of discovery, conversation and connection, the CMSUK Feature Zone will explore how case management has developed over the past 25 years. Visitors can meet experienced case managers, learn more about their work and discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping the profession today.
While the feature is designed with occupational therapists in mind, it will also celebrate the diverse professional backgrounds that strengthen case management. For practising case managers, it provides a valuable opportunity to connect with peers, share experiences and explore the different perspectives brought to the profession.
CMSUK will also contribute four sessions to this year’s dedicated Case management conference stream:
- The curious practitioner: learning, reflecting and growing throughout your career as a case manager or OT
Wednesday 25 November, 13:15–14:00, Theatre 1
- Role boundaries: the occupational therapist vs the case manager
Wednesday 25 November, 11:15–11:45, Theatre 2
- Supporting children and families beyond therapy: coordinating education, health and social care
Wednesday 25 November, 11:00–11:30, Theatre 3
- More than adaptations: creating homes that enable participation following catastrophic injury
Thursday 26 November, 12:30–13:00, Theatre 3
Delivered by experienced professionals, including CMSUK Trustees who began their careers as occupational therapists before moving into case management, these sessions will offer practical insights into career development, professional boundaries, multidisciplinary working and supporting people following complex or life-changing injuries.
Following their presentations, the Trustees will return to the CMSUK Feature Zone, where visitors can ask questions, discuss topics in greater depth and continue conversations in a relaxed setting.
At the heart of the feature will be the Coffee & Curiosity Corner, a welcoming space created for open and honest conversations. Whether you are an established case manager looking to connect with others, an occupational therapist considering your next career step or simply curious to learn more, you are invited to grab a coffee and join the discussion.
Rhiannon Stokes, Chair of CMSUK, said: “This Feature Zone is about starting conversations, sharing experiences and helping occupational therapists discover possibilities they may never have considered.”
Matt Govett, Event Director, Occupational Therapy Show, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with CMSUK at this year’s Occupational Therapy Show. This partnership gives us a fantastic opportunity to bring together two highly engaged communities from across occupational therapy and case management to create even greater value for visitors to the show.”
