How can occupational therapists help to address health inequalities?

The pandemic has exposed and exacerbated health inequalities experienced by many members of our population. Health equity is the business of everyone working in health and social care and this presentation continues the conversation about health equity that was the focus of Occupational Therapy Week 2021. Participants will be provided with an opportunity to further reflect on their role in addressing the health inequalities that occupational therapists see daily. We will share examples of good practice and highlight learning opportunities and resources to ensure that occupational therapists use their skills and position to reduce health inequalities experienced by the individuals and communities we serve.

Speakers
Dr Sally Payne, Professional Adviser - Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
