The session will critically explore Recycling as a meaningful occupation. We will consider the motivators and barriers to participating in the occupation of recycling, why it is a meaningful occupation and what we can do – in our role as occupational therapists – to empower the people we work with to engage in this activity. The session will challenge conceptualisations of recycling and critically appraise the accessibility of the occupation to groups in society. Prepare for an interactive, thought provoking and mobilising discussion.
