Sensory Smart

Stand: F14

The Sensory Smart Store was founded by Mel Thomsett, a mum whose son was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 3 years old who found it impossible to put socks on. An everyday easy task for most can almost be impossible for a child with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD).

After some research and help from an Occupational Therapist, Mel realised that some of his behaviour was his way of trying to cope. He wasn’t being challenging - he was being challenged. Big difference!

Her journey inspired her to start the Sensory Smart Store bringing solutions to anyone trying to navigate SPD to help other kids struggling with sensitivities to seams, labels, fabrics and textures.

Sensory Smart Store has grown to include a broader range of seamless and seamfree products to reduce the stress of getting dressed for kids and adults.
