Leeds and York partnership

Stand: A29
Occupational therapists are part of our Allied Health Professional (AHP) Workforce. AHPs support our service users and carers, our staff and the communities we serve to live healthy and fulfilling lives. We want our AHPs to achieve their personal and professional goals and to live their lives free from stigma and discrimination, and to improve the lives of people who live with a learning disability or mental health issues. Occupational therapists are in an ideal position to support the delivery of this vision and ambition. The underpinning values of occupational therapists are to support individuals who experience challenges in their health to achieve fulfilling lives. They work across our organisation with service users, carers and staff and are key professionals in promoting recovery. Occupational therapists assess, rehabilitate and treat people using purposeful activity and meaningful occupation to promote health and independent function.
