A UK grant-making charity founded in 1965 through the campaigning zeal of Ann Armstrong, who contracted polio - needing an iron lung to breathe. She won the right to live independently at home - and an MBE!
Awarding modest grants to people on low incomes living with disability and/or long-term illness, we contribute towards specialist equipment, home adaptations, and household goods.
