Two Showers in One: Flexibility and Safety in Every Setting

Horne Stand: J52
Two Showers in One: Flexibility and Safety in Every Setting
Two showers in one – flexibility and safety for every setting
Our dual-mode design incorporates two shower outlets to meet a wide range of user needs:
  1. A fixed, vandal and ligature resistant overhead shower head - always available for independent use and everyday routines.
  2. A secondary hose-and-handset option, tailored to suit the environment and user:
    • Accessible model: this features a fixed hose with manual flow diverter, allowing carers or users to easily switch between the overhead and the handheld shower. The lever controls and smooth-gliding riser mechanism make adjustment simple, while the 1000 mm combined riser and supportive grab rail offers both reach and reassurance.  Available in white/grey or deep-orange/grey for enhanced visual contrast - ideal for users with sight loss, dementia, or cognitive impairment. Matching 600 mm grab support rails are also available for coordinated, inclusive bathroom layouts.
    • Secure model: fitted with a detachable hose and automatic flow diverter, this version has been specifically developed for mental-health and secure-care settings. Water is directed to the hose only when it is securely connected at the panel side outlet. When not in use, the hose and handset should be stored securely by staff to prevent misuse, including the risk of its use as a ligature.

Across both models, Horne’s robust construction and reliable thermostatic control deliver long-term performance, safety from scalding, and ease of maintenance - essential for shared or high-use environments.

By combining safety, accessibility, and independence, Horne’s Dual-Mode Showers empower users and carers alike - ensuring every shower experience is both safe and enabling.
