Try everyday task practice in VR at the OT Show
CorteXR Studio provides a configurable library of immersive everyday activities for occupational therapists and neurorehabilitation teams. It gives clinicians another way to introduce familiar situations into supervised sessions, without physically recreating each setting.
Activities include finding items in a supermarket, following kitchen routines, paying a bus fare, visiting a café and completing a postal errand. Clinicians choose activities relevant to the person and adjust the available challenge, creating opportunities for practice involving attention, memory, planning, sequencing and object use.
Tasks can be repeated with the same settings or revisited with different support and challenge. Alongside their own observations, clinicians can review the information recorded by each activity. Depending on the task, this may include time taken, step timings, errors, cues and repeats.
The aim is not to replace real community experiences or professional judgement. It is to make a range of everyday situations more accessible within the session, with opportunities to observe, practise and discuss what happened. Studio is non-medical activity software; its recorded information is not a diagnostic score or clinical outcome measure.
At the Occupational Therapy Show, Nudge Reality will offer short, guided demonstrations of CorteXR Studio at stand L59. Visitors can experience the supermarket activity, explore available settings and see how activity information is presented for review.
Come and try an activity, ask questions and discuss how Studio might fit your sessions.
