Three WashPod™ Models Will Be On Display at The OT Show 2026

Dignity Access Ltd. Stand: F54
Three WashPod™ Models Will Be On Display at The OT Show 2026
WashPod Temporary Disabled Wetrooms
Not one, not two but three models of the unique WashPod™ temporary disabled wetroom will be on display at The OT Show 2026 in November. The Mini, Compact and Standard models will be available to view on the Dignity Access stand F54, right opposite Theatres 2 and 3.
The WashPod™ range of disabled wet rooms offer modular versatility to rapidly provide dignified bathing solutions when accessibility becomes an urgent need. The units can be hired or bought giving a flexibility that makes them perfect for short to interim periods where rehabilitation is needed or to keep clients at home. Examples including hospital discharge to improve patient flow, lengthy litigation processes, landlord properties or for end-of-life care.

Dignity Access is going to be involved in hospital trials to see how the WashPod™ modular wetroom range can provide a rapid and practical solution to the challenge of effective, safe and sustainable hospital discharge.

The Standard-sized model is one of an increasing range of WashPods™ - available in both internal and external form. Many customers such as local authorities, case managers and solicitors, have found the Standard to be a good solution as it is fully compliant, has sufficient room for a carer and wheelchair, takes a hoist and still fits into a medium room or double garage. For local authorities, they are attractive as they can be re-used for multiple service users by taking advantage of our unique DFG Turnaround Service.

The Compact WashPod™ is smaller and can fit easily in the corner of many rooms while still having wheelchair accessibility, giving it a versatility that makes it a common choice.

The Mini WashPod™ is one of the smallest in the range and is designed for the most limited spaces where a toilet and shower are both required. It is only 1.75m long by 1.5m wide (plus a ramp) and has bi-fold doors to allow carer access from the outside if needed. Although petite, it can still accommodate a wash-dry toilet but will fit snugly into the corner of rooms or even in utility rooms. It only takes half a day to install and is priced as a great option for Disabled Facilities Grant funding.

WashPods™ combine modularity with expertise in accessible design to produce an aesthetically pleasing but robust, high-quality versatile wet room that can be carried in sections through the house to inaccessible locations. They can be erected quickly in just a day or two, either internally or externally. They are plug ‘n play, requiring no extensive structural or plumbing adaptations and can be removed as easily leaving the property in its original condition. No wonder OTs love the WashPod™ and even landlords are happy.

For Local Authorities, the Dignity Access DFG Turnaround Service requires a single capital outlay for the pod, followed by a fixed management fee that oversees the entire logistical process, including refurbishment and storage, so that the pods can be used multiple times saving valuable DFG funds. Our lead times are just 2 – 6 weeks which avoids the lengthy planning and construction process which can make a real difference especially for hospital discharge and end-of-life care.

  • Cost-effective alternative to care home or continued stay in hospital
