Popular WashPod Model Displayed for the First Time Stand E30
The popular Standard model of the modular WashPod temporary accessible wetroom range will be on public display on the Dignity Access stand (E30) for the first time at this year’s OT Show. The Standard-sized model is one of an increasing range of WashPods - available in both internal and external form. Many customers such as local authorities, case managers and solicitors, have found the Standard to be a good solution as it is fully compliant, has sufficient room for a carer and wheelchair, takes a hoist and still fits into a medium room or double garage. For local authorities, they are attractive as they can be re-used for multiple service users by taking advantage of our unique DFG Turnaround Service.
The WashPod range offers modular versatility to rapidly provide dignified bathing solutions when accessibility becomes an urgent need. The units can be hired or bought giving a flexibility that makes them perfect for short to interim periods where rehabilitation is needed or to keep clients at home during a lengthy litigation process or for end-of-life care.
WashPods combine modularity with expertise in accessible design to produce an aesthetically pleasing but robust, high-quality versatile wetroom that can be carried in sections through the house to inaccessible locations. They can be erected quickly in just a day or two, either internally or externally. They are plug ‘n play, requiring no extensive structural or plumbing adaptations and can be removed as easily leaving the property in its original condition. No wonder OTs love the WashPod and even landlords are happy.
For Local Authorities, the Dignity Access DFG Turnaround Service requires a single capital outlay for the pod, followed by a fixed management fee that oversees the entire logistical process, including refurbishment and storage, so that the pods can be used multiple times saving valuable DFG funds. Our lead times are just 2 – 6 weeks which avoids the lengthy planning and construction process which can make a real difference especially for hospital discharge and end-of-life care.

WashPod is designed and manufactured by Dignity Access Ltd, a small private business that is gaining a strong reputation for excellent client satisfaction and numerous unsolicited testimonials. It was borne out of Cowan Architects, a chartered architects’ practice specialising in accommodation designs for the disabled and Accommodation Expert Witnesses.
The result of combining this knowledge with a modular expert is the aesthetic, high quality, modular, temporary wetroom that WashPod now is.
We believe that WashPod is unsurpassed by any alternative and the whole of the Dignity Access team is totally committed to the benefit and empowerment that WashPod can give to people at very difficult times in their lives. This is obvious to all our clients who value not only the professionalism, but the empathy and discretion shown by those of us they meet.
