A new role for Lewis Reed - Mobility Specialist

Chris Edwards joins Lewis Reed Lewis Reed is the first wheelchair accessible company to take on a wheelchair user as part of their team. Working alongside Lizzie Green in the marketing department, Chris has developed a new roll for the company as Mobility Specialist. As a long time wheelchair user he is passionate about personal independence and mental health and believes that having access to a bespoke driving or passenger solution that is comfortable, beautiful and a joy to be in, is the cornerstone to this. ‘I’ve worked within the mobility industry for over 20 years. Firstly, starting with a bespoke wheelchair manufacturer visiting individuals and assessing their needs. Then more recently I have worked for 17 years for Motability Operations travelling around the UK meeting individuals and groups providing guidance and advice whilst building awareness of travel and driving with a disability.’ Chris’s new position as Mobility Specialist aims to contact solicitors, health professional, case managers and occupational therapists to demonstrate one of Lewis Reed’s wheelchair accessible vehicles and to explain how Lewis Reed can take responsibility for all mobility issues in a project management. Also, to talk to customers who need some reassurance about driving or being a passenger in a wheelchair accessible vehicle. What considerations need to be thought about and why Lewis Reed may be the best solution for them. As a mobility Specialist Chris is also happy to give out free advice to anyone that needs help in any area of mobility.
