Hospital Direct Expands Team to Meet Growing Demand – Welcoming the “J-Squad”

Hospital Direct, a trusted partner to the NHS and home care providers for over 28 years, is proud to announce three key appointments as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting healthcare professionals and delivering dignified, easy-to-use patient handling solutions.
Guided by its founding principles, supporting the NHS, tackling complex manual handling challenges and providing solutions for people with mobility needs, Hospital Direct continues to expand its expertise in patient handling and care.
Introducing the J-Squad:
- Jay Haughton – Holding a Diploma in Sports Medicine, Jay brings a wealth of experience from support therapy to sales. He will support clients across the Southern counties and South London, focusing on distributing innovative patient-handling solutions.
- Jaime Stubberfield – With years of experience in nursing homes and care management, Jamie offers deep knowledge of patient handling and tissue viability. She will support clients across the South and East of England.
- Justin McBride – A veteran of healthcare sales and manual handling training, Justin joins as Regional Sales Manager for the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, helping expand Hospital Direct’s reach and expertise.
In recent weeks, the new team members participated in in-depth training sessions at Hospital Direct Headquarters in Clun, led by Helen and Bruce Gutteridge, gaining comprehensive knowledge of key products. They also engaged with the broader healthcare community at events, including Rise4Disability in Essex and Kent.

Looking forward, Hospital Direct will continue to enhance its training programs through its evolving venue HD Knowledge Zone, building on its CPD-accredited manual handling programs for surgical teams, care staff, and home carers.
Members of the new team will be available at the OT Show on November 26–27 to support and answer questions from Occupational Therapists and Manual Handling professionals.
