H&M Bathlifts Wins International Green Apple Gold Award for Sustainable Bathlift Provision
The Green Apple Awards are organised by The Green Organisation, an international, independent, non profit environmental group that recognises and promotes environmental best practice around the world.
H&M Bathlifts directors Hugh and Katie Malone Tallentire received the award at a presentation held at Kensington Palace in November 2024.
Having worked within the industry for many years, Hugh and Katie understood the environmental challenges associated with traditional bathlift provision. They set out to reduce waste and lower the carbon footprint associated with the supply, maintenance and replacement of bathlifts.
The Kanjo Bathlift was introduced as part of this commitment. Its durable design enables it to be cleaned, reused and ultimately recycled through council community equipment services. This supports a more sustainable approach while also helping equipment providers reduce unnecessary replacements, control costs and make bathlifts available more quickly to people who need them.
The Kanjo is supported by H&M Bathlifts market leading 4 year warranty, helping to reduce avoidable call outs and providing long term reassurance for occupational therapists, equipment services and users.
Receiving the Green Apple Gold Award represents an important recognition of H&M Bathlifts continuing work to combine reliable bathing solutions with responsible and sustainable product provision.
