Fledglings Returns to The Occupational Therapy Show with Practical Solutions for Everyday Independence

Working with families, occupational therapists, schools, NHS teams and care settings, Fledglings has spent many years helping people find solutions to everyday challenges that are not always easily met by mainstream products.
At stand H22, occupational therapists can explore solutions covering a broad range of needs and age groups, from young children through to adults and older people.
Products and areas represented include adaptive clothing and daywear, continence and ostomy swimwear, wide-fit and AFO-friendly footwear, waterproof and wipe-clean bedding, safe sleep products, moving and handling equipment, home adaptations, mealtime aids, communication supports and sensory integration equipment.
The Fledglings team particularly welcomes conversations about the more difficult problems OTs and families are trying to solve. These may include smearing and night-time undressing, heavy wetting and continence management, dressing difficulties, dementia care, reduced dexterity, mobility, sensory regulation, safe sleep, home safety and supporting greater independence with everyday activities.
Rather than focusing on one age group or one area of need, Fledglings provides products for children, adults and older people, helping professionals identify practical options for use at home, in education, therapy environments, care settings and the wider community.
Visitors will be able to discover products including specialist adaptive swimwear from children’s sizes through to men’s and women’s ranges, stylish adaptive clothing, footwear suitable for orthotics and AFOs, sensory integration equipment, visual supports such as TomTag and specialist solutions for sleep and personal care.
As a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, Fledglings continues to focus on finding and supplying practical products that can make everyday life easier for disabled people, people with additional needs, their families and those supporting them.
