Family-Founded Healthcare Shaped by Lived Experience

Family-Founded Healthcare Shaped by Lived Experience

At KT Healthcare, we believe exceptional care begins with truly understanding people — their goals, strengths, and lived experiences. As a family-founded organisation, this principle underpins everything we do, guiding how we design and deliver support for individuals and families.

Founded by James and Emily Kirsop-Taylor, KT Healthcare was established with a shared commitment to compassionate, person-centred care that empowers individuals to lead fulfilling lives. Alongside their professional expertise, they bring invaluable lived experience as parents raising three children; their journey includes supporting one autistic child with high support needs and another with ADHD, giving them a deep, first-hand understanding of the complexities families face when navigating health, education, and care systems.

This lived experience continues to shape the organisation’s culture and values. We recognise that no two individuals are the same, and that meaningful support starts with listening. By understanding what matters most to each person and their family, we can create tailored pathways that promote independence, participation, and improved quality of life.

KT Healthcare offers a wide range of specialist assessment and therapy services for adults and children. These include support for autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and developmental language disorder, as well as neurorehabilitation following acquired brain injury. Our multidisciplinary approach spans Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Music Therapy, and Rehabilitation Assistants. We also provide therapy for children with complex needs within EHCP/EOTAS provision, alongside Talking Therapies such as CBT for anxiety, stress, OCD, PTSD, and depression.

Collaboration is central to our work. We value the essential role of Occupational Therapists and other professionals in supporting individuals to engage in meaningful activities across home, education, work, and community settings. Strong partnerships between professionals and families enable better outcomes and more holistic care.

We are committed to delivering evidence-informed, responsive care grounded in empathy, always seeing the whole person beyond their diagnosis.

As we prepare to exhibit at the Occupational Therapy Show this November, we look forward to connecting, sharing insights, and building collaborations that place individuals and families at the heart of care.
