Delivered in partnership with The Occupational Therapy Service, the expanded programme will provide both occupational therapists and healthcare practitioners with more frequent opportunities to explore the functional impact of specific conditions on toileting, independence and dignity.

Each one-hour online session will focus on a particular diagnosis and its implications for daily living, helping clinicians strengthen clinical reasoning, consider environmental factors and make informed equipment recommendations.

Practitioners can register for the full programme or book individual sessions aligned to their area of practice. Most webinars will take place on the second Thursday of each month at 11:00am, offering a consistent, manageable structure to support ongoing CPD. Some early sessions will run on alternative dates.

By widening the programme to monthly webinars, together we can explore conditions in greater depth and give occupational therapists the confidence to apply this knowledge immediately within their assessments and recommendations. They are also a starting point for further exploration and reflection to improve practice and maximise client outcomes.”

The March webinar, The impact of toilet hygiene on health and wellbeing: an exploration of UTIs, will explore the cause and prevalence of urinary tract infections, their impact on carers, dignity and independence. Sessions will run on 3rd March (2pm), 5th March (11am) and 16th March (2pm).

Each webinar is accompanied by a downloadable whitepaper and a case study to help practitioners reflect on the condition and apply it in practice.
