Belonging, Learning & Growing Together | Our Community of Practice Offer
At ASI Wise & Sensory Project, we know that training alone isn't enough. You can attend workshops, complete modules, and join webinars. Still, when it comes to applying sensory integration across different settings (paediatrics, adult mental health, learning disabilities, community services), you often need more than content. You need peer reflection, practical dialogue, and a supportive community of people who "get it".
Our CoP is designed to be that space. Think of it as an evening "coffee & chat" with purpose: a place where practitioners ask fundamental questions like: "How did that sensory ladder idea land?” "What does interoception look like in an adult mental-health ward?” "How do I embed sensory integration when service pressures mean we're tight on time?" These aren't abstract conversations; they are rooted in your everyday work, your caseload, your team and your service context.
What's different about our CoP is the mixture of structure and freedom. We may bring a short prompt or case study, but the real value lies in the conversation, the sharing, the reflective storytelling. You'll meet therapists from Scotland to Cornwall, from mental-health wards to early-years services, all with sensory integration in common, and you'll realise you're not alone.
Membership in the CoP means you can:
- Bring your own questions, dilemmas or “aha” moments.
- Hear how others are solving problems, adapting sensory-informed strategies, and stretching ideas.
- Access mentors and facilitators who guide reflection rather than dictate answers.
- Build a network of peer support you can draw on long after the session ends.
It also means you'll enhance your clinical confidence. When you see how others translate sensory integration into real settings, you'll come away with fresh ideas, sharper reasoning and a broader sense of possibility. It's not about "doing more,” it's about doing better, doing thoughtfully and doing collaboratively.
If your service is committed to embedding sensory-informed pathways, the CoP offers a place to align with others, share what's working (and what isn't) and learn together. Whether you're leading a team, working solo, delivering workshops, or supporting clients across lifespan presentations, you'll find value in a community built for complexity, for curiosity and for continual improvement.
We believe that sensory integration is everyone's business. We believe that the best way to sustain meaningful, high-quality practice is together. So whether you're just starting your ASI journey, you're midway through modules, or you've been practising for decades, this CoP is for you.
