Astor Bannerman and BEKA Hospitec have announced plans to work more closely together to better serve the healthcare and mobility equipment sectors. As long-standing sister companies within the Astor Bannerman Group, the partnership comes as part of a strategy to grow the group globally, building on shared values.

Looking forward, as the world continues to operate more globally, and accessibility becomes an accepted requirement across all settings, the strengthened Astor Bannerman Group is ready to support the subsequent demands. Together, BEKA and Astor Bannerman have a strong reputation across all major markets, and a comprehensive product offer to serve their customer base. Each business has grown exceptionally over the years, supporting new sectors of the market and designing, developing and launching new products. A unified approach will strengthen the offer and the level of support that they can now offer their customers on a global level through a co-ordinated sales team leaning into shared expertise and an even wider range of products.

The two successful businesses have collaborated under the umbrella of the Astor Bannerman Group for many years while operating independently. Under the new structure, they will work as a more consolidated organisation. Mark Colebrook who has led Astor Bannerman’s over the last 7 years has been appointed as Group Chief Executive Officer of the Astor Bannerman Group. He will lead the Group, with overall responsibility for the continued success of the business, seeking improved ways to support elderly people, people living with a disability, and their families and carers. 

The respective manufacturing sites in Andoversford (UK) and Wetzlar (Germany) will remain at the heart of the strategy. Astor Bannerman and BEKA Hospitec will continue to design, manufacture and support their full range of specialist products, with customers and partners able to expect the same high standards of quality and service throughout the transition.
