AKW Reflect on their 2025 Occupational Therapy Show Experience
At AKW, we’ve spent 2025 focusing on developing digital tools to help make life better for the people who use our accessible bathroom and kitchen solutions. At the show, we wanted to inspire all of you amazing Super OTs and reaffirm the power that information and continued professional development have when you’re specifying for clients.
So, we illuminated the NEC, Birmingham with three simple words ‘Knowledge is Power’.
To support you on your quest for knowledge, we launched our brand-new Clinical Hub, a free collection of digital resources designed to provide condition-specific information.
The Clinical Hub features guides, videos and CPD presentations created in collaboration with industry experts from The Occupational Therapy Service, Arthritis UK and many more, with the aim of providing greater knowledge about adapting homes for people recovering from a stroke, who require wheelchair access, or are living with dementia, arthritis or visual impairment.
We also presented two new accessible kitchens within our Virtual Showroom – a digital space to browse a variety of AKW products, for free – with links to videos showing how our products work, and specification sheets with all the technical information you need.
The response from delegates and exhibitors alike was overwhelmingly positive, with so many people excited by the possibilities now available when they’re sat specifying adapted spaces with their clients.
The OT Show truly is the highlight of our year; we always have a great time because we get to meet so many people who – like us – want to make a positive impact on people’s lives. We’re already looking forward to seeing what 2026 brings; see you next year!
