The Gemini CX launch builds on the success of the Gemini MX, which won ‘Best in Show New Product’ at the 2024 OT Show. The powered, height adjustable CX continues a focus on comfort, versatility and safer moving and handling whilst ensuring bathers, of all ages, access a more enjoyable, dignified bathing experience.

Combining bathing, drying and changing in one solution, the Gemini CX with integrated platform extends choice for occupational therapists balancing individual care needs with available bathroom space. Measuring 1700mm long and 750mm wide, it provides a generous bathing area for children, teenagers and adults within a smaller footprint.

Central to its design is the integrated platform which reduces transfers between separate pieces of equipment and can simplify care routines. It also removes the requirement for a changing table so space can be optimised if bathroom dimensions are limited. The CX's dynamic, winged specialist mattress offers a 'game changing proposition' in care and support. Its design provides additional padded surface and transfer space, particularly beneficial for bathers with greater movement. A textured surface offers extra grip, while its two-part construction simplifies handling, cleaning and storage.

In terms of further functionality, the CX offers a unique powered dual lift for safer working heights for carers and easier bather interaction. The platform’s soft close mechanism provides smooth, controlled lowering and makes cleaning easier. A backrest, footrest and optional postural supports help personalise comfort for the bather. The CX offers a 250mm immersion depth and 165kg safe working load, alongside obstruction sensors, a platform safety lock and battery back-up. Built-in BioCote technology provides world-class antimicrobial protection 24/7.

Options include thermostatic taps and shower systems, touch-button autofill, a safety rail, Air Spa, chromotherapy lighting and Bluetooth sound.
