Standing is something many of us take for granted. For wheelchair users and children with additional needs, it can be an important part of both therapy and everyday life. This session explores the clinical benefits of supported standing, from joint mobility and postural management to opportunities for weight-bearing. It also considers the everyday impact: taking part in play, reaching new spaces and engaging with others at eye level. Introducing XZ-Droid, we will explore how these clinical aims and everyday opportunities inform its design and use.
