Occupational therapists see every day what happens when support comes too late and services are organised around systems rather than people's lives. In this keynote, RCOT will share its vision for a different approach – one that puts prevention, participation and everyday life at the centre of decision-making.

 

This session will explore the growing case for change and the opportunity to build a movement that helps more people live well, learn, work and thrive in their communities. Attendees will hear how occupational therapy can contribute to a future where children and young people are supported to achieve their potential, more people can access, remain in and return to work, and older people can stay active, connected and independent for longer, closer to where they live.

 

The keynote will also highlight how the profession can help shape the future of support across the UK, strengthen its influence on policy and practice, and play a leading role in creating better outcomes for people and communities.
