Mindfulness-Informed Fatigue Management (MIFM) - from awareness to occupational change
This session introduces Mindfulness-Informed Fatigue Management (MIFM), an eight-week occupational therapy programme developed for people living with persistent fatigue.
Charles Talbot will explain how MIFM brings together fatigue education, mindfulness, nervous-system regulation, self-compassion and occupational strategies to develop awareness and support fatigue management in everyday life.
The session will introduce practical elements of MIFM, including the, The Fatigue Bucket analogy, The Three-Zone Model, brain breaks, grounding techniques, mindful movement and brief mindfulness practices.
Charles will also share emerging findings and participant experiences, exploring how MIFM may support fatigue awareness, confidence, self-management and participation in meaningful activity.
