Fatigue is one of the most common and disabling symptoms associated with neurological and long-term health conditions. People may understand fatigue-management strategies but still struggle to recognise when they need to use them.
In this practical session, Consultant Neurological Occupational Therapist Charles Talbot introduces Becoming Fatigue Minded: learning to recognise fatigue earlier and respond before reaching exhaustion.
Drawing on occupational therapy, neuroscience and clinical experience, the session explores the physical, cognitive and emotional aspects of fatigue, early warning signs, the impact of pushing through, and the value of brief restorative pauses. Charles will introduce practical approaches, including 'Momenting', to help people develop greater awareness of their energy and make more sustainable choices in everyday life.
