A recipe for recovery: the development of evidence-based guidelines for occupational therapy in eating disorders
The session will essentially explore the development of evidence-based guidelines for occupational therapy in the field of eating disorders, exploring each stage of the OT process and the generated recommendations for best practice.
Moreover, the rationale which propelled this project will be outlined, as well as the stages involved in the creation of these invaluable guidelines; fundamentally driven by the Co-Leads of the RCOT eating disorder specialist interest group. With an absence of guidelines published within the UK, this document is of paramount importance to all professionals with a specialist interest in facilitating best occupational therapy practice within eating disorders, and could be beneficial to clients and carers also.
