Keynote Theatre

The presentation will highlight ableism within in occupational therapy practice and why AbleOTUK is needed as an affinity group. Yet, on contrary to this we all have to be a part of the change. Therefore, AbleOTUK will be talking about allyship and how we as occupational therapist can make this an integral part of our practice.

Learning Points:

  • To critically explore the affects of ableism within occupational therapy practice.
  • To critically explore how to be an ally to the disabled community
  • To critically explore the importance of lived experience in the profession.
