The Occupational Therapist and Occupational Health – answering the questions on capacity for work.
23 Nov 2022
Theatre 1
The experience of ill health, injury or disability can affect all aspects of an individual’s life including their capacity to sustain the demands of work. Increasingly employers, through their occupational health providers, are asking questions regarding capacity or fitness of their employees to return to, and/or sustain work. These referrals are increasingly being made to occupational therapists.
This presentation will discuss how Occupational Therapists can help answer these questions, provide objectivity, address challenges, propose solutions and advice, and request reasonable accommodations to support people, where possible, to return to, or remain at work.
