The Care Inspectorate (2016) reported people are three times more likely to fall in care homes compared to their own homes, and staggeringly falls contribute to 40% of hospital admissions from care homes. This talk will explore the design, impact and evaluation of innovative workshops delivered exclusively to care home managers around the county of Essex. The aim of these were to address blanket policies and, influence practice and procedural change in response to fallers.
