The World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) is the key international representative of occupational therapy and occupational therapists worldwide and has been in official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO) since 1959.
Under the umbrella of the 2023 World Occupational Therapy Day theme ‘Unity Through Community’ the session will explore the concept of community through an international lens. Sharing perspectives and highlighting some of WFOT's work with its 107 Member Organisations and other key nternatioanl partners.
WFOT resources we will be shared alongside discussing how we can work together to build strong, diverse and inclusive professional communities.
- Participants will be able to:
- •Develop an understanding of WFOT’s work and vision.
- •Develop an understanding of the concept of community at an international level.
- •Increase knowledge of current trends in health and community service delivery in WFOT member countries.
