Optimal Handed Care: Somerset's Systemwide Approach Session

Somerset has adopted an Optimal Handed Care programme for modernising how it provides people with care and moving & handling assistance. Rather than using a traditional targeted project, this is a systemwide approach of cultural change firmly rooted in both the Commissioning and Learning & Development services, in close collaboration with partners in the NHS and care provider sectors.
- To understand the reasons why cultural change is required in the way care is provided.
- To gain insight into the methodology used for the Somerset programme.
- To learn some of the ways in which change can be managed and sustained.
