Attendance Justification

We are delighted to be in a position to offer you a FREE delegate place at The Occupational Therapy Show 2017, however we appreciate there are still costs in involved to taking a day away from work, and attending our conference. We hope this information will help you if you need additional funding to over travel and expenses.

If you want to attend The Occupational Therapy Show, you may need to inform your employer early and start preparing the evidence to support your application for attending. We have drafted a justification letter for use by both Occupational Therapists working in the statutory sector as well as those in the private sector, to help you make a case to attend conference.

Click here to open the justification letter for the statutory sector, and click here for the private sector justification letter.

Employers

Employers will support CPD through their training budgets held by the training/human resources department. For guidance on how to make a business case to your employer to highlight the many reasons as to why you should attend The Occupational Therapy Show, we have put together a template for you which can be opened by clicking here.

UNISON

All UNISON branches run an education and training programme which is available to all UNISON members. Most BAOT members are also members of UNISON (excluding self-employed or overseas members). Some UNISON branches have a small discretionary training fund to assist members to attend non-UNISON training courses and events, so contact your BAOT steward for information.

Specialist Sections

If you are a member of a Specialist Section, find out if there is financial support available to fund any expenses that may be incurred as a result of attending The Occupational Therapy Show.
